Click on the link below to view and download the official nomination forms for our 2010 AGM. Anyone wishing to become a steward, health and safety representative or other branch office must complete one and return it to the address given on the form by fax or post by 2nd February 2010.

Posters are in PDF Format and can be downloaded below. You are entitled to use workplace printers and computers to print these out if you have the time to do so.

The dates for our 2010 Annual General Meetings have now been announced. Every year we hold one in each of the three geographical areas of the service - Greater Manchester, Cumbria & Lancashire, and Merseyside & Cheshire.

This is your chance to influence how the branch functions over the next 12 months, discuss ongoing issues, and put yourself forward if you're interested in becoming a steward or health and safety representative.

Extreme Weather Bulletin - January 2010

As you all know, we are going through one of the coldest spells for 29 years and it has had a significant impact upon our working lives. We have published a bulletin for staff giving advice and detailing interim arrangements made to help staff and patients in light of these extreme conditions.

Workforce Redesign - the Final Agreement

As announced previously, management and staff side have now reached a final agreement on the workforce redesign proposals, which you can read below.

The issue of meal management will be dealt with separately, and negotiations are set to begin in the new year.


Collective Agreement Reached on Workforce Redesign

  • Techs to be offered the Opportunity to accept an EMT 2 Role and go into Band 5.
  • Meal Break Issue to be dealt with separately and renegotiated over the next 6 months.

After a resounding No to the recent ballot of the staff regarding the proposals for the Workforce Redesign, the three Trade Unions took the feedback that they had received from their members and have met with the management to hold further talks...
